Eberspächer Turns up the Heat at this Year's Southampton Boat Show
Eberspächer will be exhibiting their new generation, market leading Airtronic range of diesel fuelled heating units at this year’s Southampton International Boat Show on Stand J402. Bristling with exciting new technology, two new models will be on display, the compact Airtronic 2 D2L and the Airtronic 2 D4L which are capable of heating boats from 23’ to 45’.
For over 40 years, the heating range had attained market leading status by being fitted onto thousands of boats around the world, keeping owners and crew warm, dry and free of condensation, now new and exciting developments have led the way for the next generation. New benefits including a 40% increase in an already long service life, thanks to a brushless motor along with quieter heating, optimized burner operation and CAN bus technology are all new innovations for this new line.
The brushless motor not only increases the life and the reliability of the heating system for a wide range of marine applications.
The Airtronic ensures a pleasant, relaxing ambiance, warming the boat's interior to just the right levels of comfort and has now been made even quieter with its infinitely variable heat output.
The new metering pump has also been noise-optimized so that the "ticking" when pumping fuel, is a thing of the past. The air heater's quieter running ensures a better, more peaceful sleep.
CAN bus technology, becomes the ‘nerve centre’ of each heating system thus ensuring the reliability and making the internal workings more robust and less exposed to electrical faults. The New Easy Start Pro control switch has been designed to enhance a modern dashboard or bulkhead. The Easy Start Pro is easy to use and includes a timer function, this will allow you to select the desired start time and heating duration. The integrated temperature sensor, enables the temperature to be regulated exactly as desired.
The display and a multi coloured LED ring surrounding the operating button continuously indicate whether heating or ventilation mode is currently active. With greater and smarter ‘finger tip’ temperature control, boat owners will stand to benefit from greater fuel efficiency and lower power consumption.
On the stand will be Marine Design Engineers, Matthew Birks and Stuart Moore, who are part of the senior team from Eberspächer UK and who will accompany representatives from the national dealer network. All will be on hand to offer advice on the new Airtronic and current Hydronic ranges.
