HYDRONIC M - New Yacht Heater from Eberspächer

Durable, Quiet and Powerful

Eberspächer is launching a new, exceptionally powerful generation of yacht heaters just in time for the London Boat Show: the innovative type Hydronic M II water heaters feature double the service life, significantly faster heating performance and extremely quiet operation.

The heaters - you can choose from eight, ten and twelve-kilowatt models - are suitable for medium-sized motor yachts, up to about twelve metres in length. Depending on the version you opt for, you can heat 55, 70 or 85 cubic metres of boat space from Spring through to Autumn. The Hydronic M II reaches its maximum heat output in just two-thirds of the time taken by conventional yacht heaters. A further plus point is that the range's service life has been doubled: from the previous 3000 hours to the new figure of 6000. This has been achieved thanks to the newly developed combustion chamber, the new EC motors of combustion fan and the water pump which is also new. The diesel fuel required for heating purposes is drawn directly from the on-board fuel tank and is used extremely economically: the eight-kilowatt model consumes a maximum of 0.9 litres per hour and can also be operated with up to 100 percent biodiesel (PME). All the models feature especially quiet operation and fine power regulation with up to six levels. In addition to the cabin, the water heater can also heat the domestic water in the boiler or be connected to the engine. The small, space-saving pipes are a general advantage of this type of heater.

Operating convenience
Operation - in common with all Eberspächer yacht heaters - is simple and convenient. Some controls offer a practical preprogramming facility to ensure that the cabin is always warm when the skipper steps on board. The programmable remote control also displays the heater's operating status and the cabin temperature from as much as 1000 metres away. Want to switch the on-board heater on or off while at home or en route? Use the "Calltronic" system via a landline or mobile phone which ensures that distance is practically no obstacle.

Eberspächer's new Hydonic M II yacht heater offers substantial benefits.
With subsidiaries in ten European countries, Eberspächer is one of the leading manufacturers of boat and yacht heaters. Its Europe-wide service network includes some 770 trained partner companies with over 900 in total worldwide.

Eberspächer: the right heater for every yacht

Eberspächer is presenting a complete range of heaters for yachts of all sizes at the London Show 2009 on Stand N19A. Air and water heaters are on show. The latter heats not only the cabin but also the domestic water. Programmable controls and practical installation kits complete the product portfolio.

The comprehensive range covers the entire spectrum from small boats up to 30 metre yachts. The available heat output ranges from 1 to 35 kilowatts. All units are maintenance-free and service-friendly. The heaters draw their diesel directly from the boat's fuel tank. The cabin temperature can be regulated as required via a thermostat. Some controls offer a practical preprogramming facility to ensure that the cabin is always warm when the skipper steps on board. The programmable remote control also displays the heater's operating status and the cabin temperature over a range of up to 1000 metres and to switch the on-board heater on or off while at home or on route, the "Calltronic" module operates via phone on any distance.

Air or water heating systems can be supplied: Airtronic air heaters are particularly suitable for retrofitting because of their easy installation. This type of unit heats the cabin particularly quickly and economically. The high efficiency - over 80% at a medium operating level - guarantees very low fuel and power consumption. The rule of thumb is that a heat flow of approximately 100 to 200 watts per cubic metre of cabin space delivers adequate heating. Thanks to their ventilation function some air heaters also provide a fresh breeze on board in Summer.

The water heaters feature particularly quiet operation, very even heat ouput and fine temperature regulation. In addition to the cabin, they heat the water boiler and can, if required, also be connected to the engine. A further plus point of this heater is that the pipes are particularly small and space-saving.
